High range of bare peaks split by Wah river into two parts: Krivanská Fatra in the north and Lúčanská Fatra
in the south. In the north-east there are interesting limestone gorges of Diery and beautiful cone shaped
peaks named Rozsutce. Traditional area for ski touring. In the Vratna valley there is a cable car ending 200m
below the highest peak of the range.
The highest and the most prominent peak: Vel’ký Kriváň (1709m/958m).
